Crowd is already loud as the cameras sweep across handmade signs and fans on their feet.
Thank you everyone for coming out tonight. Muchas, muchas gracias. Tonight I treat you to an hour and a half of the best form of entertainment in the world - wrestling.
The crowd, full of wrestling fans, who let their voices be heard.
I knew you'd all share that opinion. Tonight nine tremendous talent will come to this very ring and wage war against each other. Three triple threat matches. If you do pin or submit your opponent - or KO if you are that gruesome - then you will advanced to the second round! If you happen to not be involved in the fall, you too advance to the next round. If you are pinned, submitted - or KO'd - then, lo siente but you're out.
Sylas points down the ramp and the tron now shows each wrestler's headshot on screen for tonight's event.
Aaron Pace - Scarlett Wilkes - Silas Romero - Azurine Vebbins - Whisper Windsor - Jorja Kingsmill - Nikki Ferrera - Jasmine Morales - Dezzi - these are names you all know. I can see many of you have chosen to wear your allegiance to a particular wrestler tonight. Make sure they hear you because by the end of tonight we'll have our final six. The question is - WHO'S IT GOING TO BE?
Backstage in a dimly lit concrete corridor with black-painted walls and exposed pipes running overhead. Flickering fluorescent lights throw stark shadows across stacks of road cases and coiled cables. A few crew members in headsets rush past in the background, and a simple branded interview backdrop hangs slightly crooked on one wall. Aaron Pace struts into frame with an arrogant swagger, sunglasses perched on his nose despite the indoor gloom. He snatches a handheld microphone from an off-camera crew member, flashes a cocky smirk, and plants himself front and center.
See now here’s the thing, I walk into Grapsland, head held high, probably the biggest name on the roster but I’m going to bring myself down to Earth a little bit, because that’s what people love about me most, my every man hard working personality. But here’s the thing, it's season one, episode one and we got a big one for me tonight ya see… the tournament begins.
He begins pacing slowly back and forth in front of the camera, shaking his head with a low, mocking chuckle, running a hand through his hair before jabbing a finger straight into the lens.
And what a stacked deck we got, we got the big boy Silas Romero, we got the queen of whore island herself Scarlett Wilkes, and then we got a man that knows a bit about ascension, given this things name is the Ascension Classic. You got muah, the Paramount, the Biggest Ride in the Park, you got god damn Pace Mountain. Everywhere I’ve ever been, I walk in the door and I don’t just succeed, I exceed all expectations. Everywhere I’ve been, I walk in, I talk how I want to whatever company it is, I bend that company over and I- proceed to plow her right in the as until she gives me everything I want.
Aaron steps in closer, leaning toward the camera until his face dominates the frame, one eyebrow arched high.
What makes you think it’ll be any different here, Silas? Scarlett? You two are in an infinite war in wrestling where Silas whips reds ass, I get it, I get it. But here’s the thing, you can have that war, I’ll just be the one pinning one of you and moseying a piece on down the road there while the two of you pull out whatever you got and figure out whose is bigger.
He abruptly straightens and eases back from the camera, a pause for a moment as he thinks about what he needed to say next… what he needed to add to really put the bow on it.
Make no mistake, I know what you both can do, but here’s the thing… I’m Aaron Pace, and you can’t keep up.
With the swagger of a God, he wandered away with a jump in his step leaving that hanging there as the crowd booed the accomplished champion to end the segment.
Referee Hernandez calls for the bell. There's a small hesistation by all three competitors; neither wanting to give the other two an opening. Aaron approaches Silas only to pivot for Scarlett with a measured punch to the temple. Silas' clothesline misses Pace but sends Wilkes down and she rolls out the ring. Pace lights up Romero's chest with chops, then shoulder thrusts in the corner. Pace tells Silas he's not going any further in the tournament, but he falls over thanks to Scarlett pulling his leg from outside.
Romero capitalizes on the opening with a standing leap onto the second rope and drops the elbow on Pace. He stays in control with some muay thai strikes to position Pace up against the ropes. Romero backs up two steps and staggers Pace with a running european uppercut. Silas shoots Aaron off the ropes and meets him on the rebound with a big boot before snarling at the hard cam. A red-head catches his eye and Scarlett backs up from the apron. Romero starts off in pursuit for Wilkes; chasing her back into the ring. Wilkes catches Romero with a kick to the side of the head, then some mid-section kicks before she drops Romero with three double axe handles to his back. Scarlett turns her attention back to Aaron, who receives the same set of strikes Romero did. The TV Star locks both men in a front face-lock and after a small, but quick nod to the crowd, she drops both men with a DDT. Scarlett secures a pin on Romero: 1-----2-- but Romero kicks out. She immediately hooks the leg on Aaron for another pin: 1-----2- but Aaron kicks out!
Scarlett doesn't take her foot off the gas pedal. As soon as Pace uses the corner to get back up, she's serving out repeated back elbows hot and fresh. She moves back to Romero and, given their history, starts off with a tasteless slap before raining down punches. She moves back to Pace and prepares another DDT. Pace had other ideas and the one that comes to mind is an exploder suplex into the corner. Pace didn't get back up because Romero strikes with a hard running kick to the ribs. Pace's yell is picked up by ringside cameras. Romero strikes with intensity as he gives Aaron's chest a barrage of kicks. The King Of All Things follows this up with a swinging neckbreaker and quickly floats over to pin the Pacemaker: 1-----2- but Aaron stays alive. Pace doesn't get back up as Romero comes by with a running enziguri that Romero hopes turned Aaron's lights out. He rolls Aaron onto his back, forearm across the chest, both legs hooked this time: 1-----2 and Scarlett breaks things up with a straight boot to Romero's face. She takes his place on Pace for the pin: 1-----2-- with Aaron kicking out.
Aaron hits an inverted DDT on Scarlett, quickly trying to cover the TV starlet Scarlett: only for Romero to slide in with a knee to the jaw. Pace is down by the ropes checking his jaw is intact while Silas sets Scarlett up for a brainbuster. Wilkes' flexibility saves her as she's able to drive knees into Romero. The Technical Masterpiece Romero drops Wilkes back on her feet. She takes a step back like an MLS striker before trying to low blow Silas again. Romero catches her leg, wagging his finger and throws down Scarlett's leg. In comes Aaron Pace who turns Silas inside out with a lariat meant for Scarlett. Pace then feels Scarlett latch on; legs around his waist and a rear naked choke applied. The Pacemaker is strong enough to pull that apart and performs a rolling senton to squash Scarlett into the mat. Hernandez sees this cover and makes the count: but Scarlett isn't done yet. Aaron drags Scarlett up and sets her up for the Gory Bomb. He shows her off to the audience on each side of the ring but Romero causes the impact with a superkick right on the chin. Scarlett takes the gory bomb and Pace falls on his back. Romero makes the cover and Hernandez is right there to count: but there's still life in Aaron Pace. Romero traps the arm he kicks out with and locks in his Arkham Asylum submission hold: Aaron refuses to tap - Romero wrenches tighter and looks willing to break the nose if that's the way it has to be - Wilkes locks in the Ginger Snap on Romero!
Hernandez is darting between Aaron and Silas checking if either wants to submit: After a minute into the hold Aaron slowly rolls free as Romero's grip loosens. Scarlett fully locks in the hold ----- Aaron Pace's stomp to the back breaks things up. Pace tosses Wilkes to the outside and targets the slower, faded Romero. This Gory Bomb is quick and effective and Aaron rolls him over for a cover: and Romero kicks out; frustrating Aaron Pace. Aaron tries to set up something with several strikes but the Knockout Supreme Silas Romero retaliates with an FYF combo; Standing Head Kick feeding into a Superkick, and concludes on a Rebound Jumping Knee Strike.
Aaron Pace comes in quick on Scarlett with Pace Out; a string of STO Backbreakers with the audience counting them out: . Scarlett falls to the floor holding her back in sheer agony. Pace helps her up only to throw her out the ring and gets his third strike to the jaw; another superkick! Romero lifts Aaron up in the corner and fires up with hard chops; Aaron's already red chest gets another lashing. Romero heads to the top and looks for an exloder suplex from this height. Pace fights back with headbutts at first, then a push that sends Romero down to the mat. Pace does what any powerhouse would do at this height; throws himself at Romero with a flying shoulder block from the top rope. Romero rolls over and finds himself in the other corner. Pace advances like a shark in a bloodfrenzy with rapid knees for Romero. Pace takes Romero to the high risk district. Aaron gets himself on the second rope. Both superstars are back to back. Pace looks like he's going to go for a devastating Pacemaker but Romero breaks free just as Aaron gets moving.

Jasmine Morales skips into frame, bouncing on the balls of her feet, a grin stretching ear to ear.
Ok, ok, hi Graplands! It’s your girl Berry Boop, leader of the Boop Troop, and guess what? Tonight? This place? It’s Boopland now.
She gestures around, playful, then leans in a little closer.
And turning Graplands into Boopland means this: no fear, no doubt, no gloomy faces. It means we fight hard, we have fun, and we don’t let anyone tell us that cute can’t be dangerous.
Her smile tightens, eyes sharp.
Triple threat. Ascension Tournament. Only two move on, and I know the rules of this game. One wrong step and it’s over… and that’s not gonna be me.
She taps her chest.
I might be small. I might be silly. I might boop when you least expect it, but I am fierce, and I fight with heart. You can knock me down, but I get back up faster and louder every single time.
She points straight into the camera.
So to my opponents? Watch your step. And to my Boopa Troopas? Make some noise, power me up, because Berry Boop is about to clear another level.
She throws up a peace sign.
Let’s boop!
With a little bounce, she spins around, humming to herself as she heads toward the curtain, pausing just long enough to look back and flash a wink.
Ref. Reglas calls for the bell. Unlike the prior match all three women advance with purpose and exchange forearms with one another. Nikki gets knocked aside by Windsor and Jasmine Morales strings together uno, dos, tres arm drags on Windsor leaving her by the ropes. Another three arm drags to Nikki Ferrera this time and then one to Señor Reglas in the heat of the moment before he reminds her he's the official, he doesn't wrestler anymore. Morales 'boopdrops' a sincere apology but Nikki Ferrera slams her head first into the mat. Ferrera escapes under the bottom rope before Whisper can get her hands on Ferrera. Whisper turns quickly to Morales and saito suplexes her. Ferrera momentarily slides in the ring but backs up. Whisper challengers her to come in and then taunts her with a slap. Whisper Windsor lands her second saito suplex but Jasmine escapes the third into a DDT. Morales catches Nikki as she slides back in with a DDT of her own, then head slams her into the mat a few times over.
Ferrera gets locked in an octpus stretch applied by Jasmine. Ref. Reglas checks with Nikki if she wants to submit. Nikki downright refuses and is able to muscle Jasmine onto the ropes to escape! where she delivers a rope hung abdomen kick and another head slam straight into the mat. Nikki adds some hooligan like stomps to force Jasmine out the ring. Whisper tries to German suplex Nikki but she won't let go of the ropes. Two back elbows send Whisper a few steps back which sets up Nikki's running STO. She covers and Ref. Reglas counts: only for Whisper to kick out. That's when Jasmine comes in and double axe handle clotheslines Whisper out the way so she can connect with some straight gut kicks to Nikki. 'Queen Caliente' Jasmine gets Nikki in the corner for some further, more measured knee strikes. The Miss from Puerto Rico whips Nikki into Whisper Windsor who lifts, spins Nikki around a full 360 and drops her across the knee for a backbreaker. Jasmine tried to monkey flip Whisper immediately after but Windsor stands her ground. She tries to suplex Jasmine who bounces her legs off the top rope and turns it into a DDT thanks to the momentum. Next up she runs corner to corner hitting both Nikki and Whisper with Fire Flower double knees. Both women crawl on their hands and knees breathless as Jasmine sits on Nikki and puts her feet up on Whisper; The Booplands Reina calls for the fans who respond with cheers.
Jasmine ends the taunt before her opponents can grapple her, but neither appreciate it. Whisper uses her power to avoid the Red Shellshocked (or Codebreaker) and Nikki rakes her nails down Jasmine's exposed back. Jasmine is thrown into Nikki as she lands a back suplex. Whisper helps Nikki up to her feet with a waistlock; only for the Brit to german suplex Nikki on the top of her back and then clotheslines her out of the ring. Jasmine's scream is the thunder before the strike; she dropkicks Whisper through the ropes with absolute purpose. Both her opponents are on the outside and Morales picks up some speed off the ropes to Paraboopa (or Suicide Dive) into both of her opponents. Fans ringside get on their feet as Jasmine bows and lets them decide who she'll take back in the ring. Windsor is picked and Jasmine gets her back inside. After a snapmare she runs the ropes again delivering a basement dropkick. Ref. Reglas counts her cover on Whisper: except Whisper shoots the right arm up. Morales tries to lock in the octopus again and Whisper instinctively gets to the ropes.
Nikki Ferrera lands a vicious shot to Jasmine while on the outside, something youd'd see in volleyball when they spike the ball. Morales slumps to the outside hoping her nose isn't broken and Ferrera doubles down by throwing Morales face first into the black steel steps. Nikki then gets herself up to the apron and leg drops Whisper against the bottom rope. The asphyxiated Whisper writhes on the mat clutching her neck while Nikki repeatedly kicks her back. Ferrera tries to put away Whisper while she's struggling to catch her breath via a classic roll up: only for Whisper to shove her off to kick out. Nikki keeps Whisper down with a running forearm, then one to Jasmine Morales as she tried stepping in. Ferrera calls for the end with a taunt after placing Whisper in the tree of woe. Winsor watches as Nikki scales the top rope. Before she can leap off Jasmine boops her off the top rope and she catches the top rope on the way down. Morales takes her place on the top rope. Morales performs a picture perfect shooting star press only to land on Nikki Ferrera's knees. Ferrera quickly makes a cradle pin: but Jasmine breaks out. Nikki tries to send her into Whisper but the Brit to lift herself up. Jasmine, with Whisper out the way, hits the unforgiving steel ring post. Nikki pulls Whisper's upperhalf back down, now resting on Jasmine's lower back.
Nikki stands atop once again and looks to strike with her finisher. Only for Whisper to crunch upwards and try and back body drop Nikki from the top rope. Fans gasp but Nikki's able to stick the landing. Jasmine staggers into Ferrera who connects with a running volleyball style slap to the chest. Whisper frees herself and avoids a running knee meaning Ferrera hits nothing but turnbuckle. Whisper then blocks Ferrera's slap and drives Nikki face first into the turnbuckle. Whisper slips under the middle rope, builds up some speed and clotheslines both opponents with a satisified smile on her face. She stacks her opponents side by side with two standard body slams; then 'The Lucky Star' performs a standing moonsault on both women. Ref. Reglas checks both shoulders are down for this pin then counts: and both Jasmine and Nikki manage to kick out.
Whisper backs up and takes Nikki down to the mat with a pendulum backbreaker. She does the same to Jasmine and holds her there in a submission hold; bending 'Queen Caliente' across Whisper's knee. Nikki rests up against the bottom rope as Jasmine yells out in pain, trying to pull Whisper's arms off to no use. Whisper continues to bend Jasmine at harsher and harsher arcs. 'Little Miss Boop' finds a way out after two hard slaps loosen Whisper's hold on her legs. Only one kick from Jasmine is needed to free her from the hold. Ferrera spikes Whisper with a quick DDT and Jasmine jumps on the pinfall: only for Whisper to kick out. Nikki takes offense to Jasmine taking the pinfall while Jasmine explains back they'd both have advanced. A shoving match between them starts with Ferrera shoving Jasmine into Whisper who rolls up Morales: only for Morales to kick out. Ferrera blames Whisper for not doing the pin correctly. Both Jasmine and Whisper dropkick Nikki down and throw her out the ring.
As soon as Nikki tumbles to the outside Jasmine and Whisper trade punches. Cheers for the babyface, some mild boos for the tweener. Jasmine doubles over Whisper with a strong gut kick. Whisper, once again, scouts Jasmine's Red Shellshock (aka Codebreaker), flipping over for a pinfall attempt: and Jasmine bridges to escape the pin. She spins the pair around with Whisper, once again, doubled over. Whisper stands up and Jasmine just lands on her feet. Windsor ducks a spinning back kick and Whisper picks up some speed on the ropes. She misses a jumping hip attack and lands right in front of Nikki who delivers her Trolled (aka the Stun Gun. The second neck-to-rope impact felt by Whisper who falls under the bottom rope to the outside gasping for air. Ferrera turns back to Jasmine, strikes with a straight punch, applies a headlock, gets thrown off by Jasmine, and runs right into Jasmine's Red Shellshock. Nikki's woozy on her feet while Jasmine runs back into the corner, measures her opponent and charges in with a busaiku knee to drop Nikki Ferrera right there in the ring. Ref. Reglas counts: and then calls for the bell.

Dezzi Havoc marches into frame, fully decked out in her ring gear, complete with face paint. When it comes to this business, she doesn’t waste a single second. Always ready, always waiting to smash skulls. As she slows down in front of the camera, a reptilian grin spreads across her lips. The metal clips in her hair glisten in the light.
When she speaks, the accent is distinctly European but of someone who’s lived around the world to pick up a little bit of everything. There is nothing careful with the way she delivers her words either. Whatever comes to mind, she just spits it out. She has neither care nor tact.
Nine people, one tournament. Drie by drie by drie.
She makes the “three” gesture with her fingers for emphasis before throwing her arms up with flourish.
The inaugural Ascension Classic! Oh my, what a privilege! What an honour!
Her voice suddenly flips into a syrupy Southern belle as she clasps her hands beneath her chin, dramatically batting her eyelids. Then she snaps, barking out a filthy laugh that forces the camera to instinctively back up a couple steps.
Maybe I ain’t been wrestling long enough but I really don’t give a fuck about tournaments.
She gives a casual, dismissive shrug.
To moi, a tournament is an excuse to beat up somebody… or a whole lotta somebodies. And luckily for toi, this first match? A triple threat. Why? You get to see me at my finessssst!!!
She licks her chops with a low laugh. The camera pulls back, revealing her carrying her cat o’ nine tails weapon coiled in her hand. She takes a moment to look at it with admiration before looking back up at the camera, her eyes slowly darkening.
Azurine and Jorja, I could stand here and tell you how I’m gonna do that. Break you. Smash you. Hurt you. Make you wish you never signed that Graplands contract….
She tilts her head.
But I don’t really want to. What’s the point? Words are just words. And I ain’t much for ‘em.
She smirks.
Like I told Jorja, English isn’t my fist language. That isn’t a typo.
She raises her clenched fist to the camera, chuckling at her own joke.
This is how I like to talk. And this?
She whips the cat o’ tails in the air as her grin turns feral.
This is punctuation. An exclamation! And I’ll decorate your skin all over with it. Let’s get to it. Chop, chop!!
She suddenly lets out an excited, animalistic yell before storming out of the scene, laughter echoing behind her.
Jorja attempts to german suplex Azurine but 'Da Adorkable Angle' blocks and rolls through into an attempted armlock. Yakka won't let it happen forcing Az to abandon it. Vebbins leapfrogs Dezzi who collides with a sliding forearm upside Jorja's head. Dezzi wraps her arm around Jorja to continue striking with punches until Jorja slides them both under the ropes and outside. Still! Dezzi has a hold but the flurry of punches has slowed with Jorja slamming Dezzi on the ring apron to get her off fully. Before she can catch her breath Azurine Vebbins delivers a baseball slide to knock Jorja into the barricade.
Jorja signals for the official Issak Morrison to count the fall but Dezzi still wants to fight on. 'The Hardest Yakka' gets herself up and beats down the backs of Vebbi and Dezzi with hammer fists. She ripcord chops both opponents down and then positions both women in the corner. Azurine in front of Dezzi. Vebbins takes a loud, thunderous open handed chop to the chest and drops to the floor. Dezzi then takes a loud knife's edge chop and went the same way as Vebbins; only Jorja keeps her up for another chop, then another. Dezzi gets whipped to the other corner and bounces out straight into an open handed chop that floors Dezzi. Azurine dropkicks the leg and slaps on a sleeperhold and body scissors. Jorja stands up but Vebbins won't let go. She tries to reach back for Azurine only to gradually fall to a knee. Vebbins clinches in tighter and Jorja looks like she's going to fade. Vebbins tries to use her weight to push Jorja's head forward when - Jorja's eyes open!
Dezzi and Vebbi each hit a dropkick to keep Jorja down. The duo snap suplex Jorja onto her back and then lift Jorja onto the top rope. Dezzi and Azurine look like they're going to go for a double superplex for good measure. Before they can launch off Jorja headbutts Azurine down off the top rope.
Dezzi slides out the ring, flips the apron cover up and pulls out from the ring an folded (and unbranded) table. She has enough time to get the thing in, set the legs up but can't flip it as Jorja grabs her by the head and headbutts her, then chops her towards the corner. Jorja bodyslams Dezzi into the bottom turnbuckle and then grabs Azurine by the throat to stop her offense. Vebbins escapes the body slam - back into the sleeper with body scissors! Vebbins avoids the hands coming her way and Jorja staggers about trying to get Vebbins off. She grabs hold of the Adorkable leg and with enough time and strength pulls Vebbins into a sidewalk slam to escape!.
Dezzi pulls herself up and makes the cover on Jorja: with Jorja kicking out again. Fans slap the barricade knowing the delay let Jorja recover just enough to kick out and sense the end.
She knows she took too long after landing both those strikes, so Jorja measures Az as the adorkable angel starts stirring. She sees Dezzi is doing the same. No matter, Jorja has a double clothesline locked and loaded. Dezzi steps out of Jorja's wingspan, which irks the Australian as she changes to a second Coathanger on Azurine Vebbins, then misses a chop directed at Dezzi. Dezzi fights back with kicks to the thighs again. Dezzi doubles Jorja over and teases a Sunset Flip Piledriver. Jorja denies it with a big back body drop with authority before big booting Dezzi down and out. Jorja then takes two knees to the gut from Vebbins on her last breath, she's stunned by the superkick, and Azurine Vebbins delivers the DDT on Jorja. Before Azurine can do anything its Dezzi breaking their alliance with a Rolling Elbow wrapped in a pitch black steel chain! Dezzi repeats her finisher on Jorja for good measure. In a split second moment, though it feels longer to Dezzi, she decides who she's bringing through to the next round: and she's successfully eliminated the threat Jorja Kingsmill.

Heading down to the ring are Aaron Pace, Scarlett Wilkes, Whisper Windsor and Jasmine Morales. Following them from behind is Mr. Sylas Reyes with a microphone in hand. The Founder of the Graplands greets the fans before applauding Dezzi and Azurine, heck, the whole group of six.
What a match, ah, what an evening of wrestling. Esos seis - these six just wanted it more tonight and will be advancing to our next show. El Finale Del Ascension - The Ascension Finale. One of these six wrestlers will be our first, el primero o...
He looks over to Azurine, Jasmine, Dezzi and Whisper.
La primera.
Her voice suddenly flips into a syrupy Southern belle as she clasps her hands beneath her chin, dramatically batting her eyelids. Then she snaps, barking out a filthy laugh that forces the camera to instinctively back up a couple steps.
The first winner of our Ascension Classic. Because whoever does win deserves, in my humble opinion, yes. They deserve to be known as the winner and hold some championship gold.
She gives a casual, dismissive shrug.
Yes. Aaron will want another title to his collection. Azurine will be able to call herself 'Da Champion in Da Dress' - pardon my poor attempt at your accent. Dezzi, you'll have more opportunity to fight people - I know you like that. Jasmine of course will want to win the title as the true, uncontested leader of the Graplands and the Booplands. Windsor, I'm sure you'd like to walk into all your lines of work with the gold and Scarlett will want to show the title off on every TV show in America, in the world.
The title is brought out by Ref. 'Doble Hache' Hector Hernandez, covered by a silk, light blue cloth. Sylas takes the title from the official through the ropes and removes the cloth once positioned in front of the hard-cam. Flanked by Aaron, Scarlett and Jasmine on his left with Windsor, Dezzi and Azurine on his right.
One of you here in this ring will win this on January 20th. El Vente de Enero. Recuerda eso. One of these wrestlers will fight to el finale and will become our first Graplands Wrestling World Champion. Gentlemen, Ladies, Buena Suerta - Best of Luck.
Sylas holds the title above his head and stands in line with the six competitors being cheered by the crowd as a unit as the first show in Graplands is in the history books.
